 ¹⁶ “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

Theme:  In the Old Testament the Hebrew people were called to obey the Commandments as their part in the Covenant that God made with them after their deliverance from Egypt.  How Should Christians hear these commandments in light of Jesus teachings and New Covenant promises?  What does it mean to give false testimony against your neighbor?  What does this commandment reveal about the heart, nature and character of God?  Are Christians still obliged to maintain this commandment today?
